Ana Ros, Emmanuel Renaut, Peter Goossens and Arnaud Lallement to cook at Bon Bon

June 8, 2018 by Ivan Brincat Leave a Comment

Christophe Hardiquest, chef of two Michelin star Brussels restaurant Bon Bon has announced the line up that will complete his Bon Bon Origins collaborative dinner series this year.

Ana Ros, Emmanuel Renaut, Peter Goossens and Arnaud Lallement will cook together with Christophe in separate events that take place from July to October.

Christophe Hardiquest, chef of the two Michelin star Brussels restaurant Bon Bon launched Bon Bon Origins out of the desire to rediscover traditional Belgian recipes that have stood the test of time but deconstructing them and bringing them to life again in a contemporary way, he will be organising collaborative dinners with different chefs that are focused on their own terroirs.

Since the beginning of this year he has organised three dinners already with Belgian chef Gert de Mangeleer of Hertog Jan, Portuguese chef Jose Avillez of restaurant Belcanto and the French Alexander Couillon of La Marine in Noirmoutier.

The first of the remaining dinners will feature Ana Ros of Hiša Franko, This will be the first time that Ana cooks in Belgium. She was named World Best Female chef in 2017 and has featured in Netflix Chef’s Table helping to put Slovenia and her region on the world gastronomy map against all odds. She became chef by chance having passed a concours to work for the European institutions in Brussels. (Read our interview with her here). The dinner takes place on 4 July.

On 5 September, Emmanuel Renaut of the three Michelin star restaurant Flocons de Sel will cook with Christophe.

This will be followed by another Belgian giant, this time Peter Goossens, the three Michelin star chef of Hof van Cleve who will cook at Bon Bon on 18 September. Goossens is today considered to be the father of Belgian gastronomy and when Hertog Jan closes at the end of the year could end up being the only chef of a three Michelin star restaurant in Belgium unless Michelin decide otherwise.

On 30th October, the French Arnaud Lallement from L’assiette champenoise, also a three Michelin star restaurant will be the last guest of 2018 for Christophe Hardiquest.

Sales for the first three dinners sold out very quickly. Bon Bon have announced that bookings for these dinners will launch on 11 June at 6pm.
