We may be biased because of our love for food and wine but Eve Turow has a point when she says that in a digital-first era, many people latch onto food as something that engages all of the senses and brings people together in a physical space. Read her views about millennials and why they are obsessed with food here. It might give us an indication on the future of food.

Waiters can make or break your experience in a restaurant. Few would imagine that some waiters are forced to pay to work on some shifts because of a tipping policy that means they have to hand over cash to their bosses at the end of the night. Some end up paying more than the tips they receive that evening. Read about it here.

Foodiva has a great interview with British chef Jason Atherton who will be opening his first restaurant in Dubai a decade after leaving Dubai. The new restaurant marks his 17th restaurant spanning from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, London and New York.

Jay Rayner can be one hell of a restaurant critic. Here you might want to read what it means to wash clean and scrub in a restaurant. Read how he fares here.

Do you like salad? Then you may want to read this. The author argues that fresh salad greens are not always as fabulous as they might seem.

We’ve come across this really great article on 10 interesting things about wine. It is not recent but it is still worth sharing.

Here’s an article from a design website about how to plate food like a 3-Star Michelin chef.

Chris Dwyer has taken a look at Stockholm’s culinary rise and he attributes the reason to its diners.

Prue Leith is a British household name though not necessarily well known outside the UK. She is a caterer, restaurateur, cookery school founder, journalist, campaigner and novelist. She has recently dismissed modern cookbooks as glossy ‘food porn’ by celebrity chefs. Read this excellent interview here.

Pizzarium in Rome serves some of the city’s if not the world’s finest pizza. Take a look at the video by Roman photographer Gabriele Stabile who spoke to Gabriele Bonci about the secret and philosophy behind his pizza.

It is an old article and is always controversial but it remains topical. Wine-tasting is junk science according to Robert Hodgson. We thought it worth sharing since we came across it this week.
