The World of Aperitivo: a new Antwerp pop-up store

November 13, 2021 by Food and Wine Gazette Leave a Comment

ANTWERP: The Italian dolce vita icon Martini, versatile Belgian lifestyle brand Serax and Italian caterer Franceso & Julia have teamed up to open an aperitivo experience store at Korte Gasthuisstraat in Antwerp between November 26 and December 31.

The pop-up store has the theme ‘The World of Aperitivo’ and is aimed at offering ideas on how to welcome and surprise guests during the festive season.

The store is a gift shop for the holidays and offers a wide range of festive accessories, Italian snacks as well as limited edition Martini gifts and drinks.

The World of Aperitivo shop has all the ingredients to organise special moments or to purchase gifts and gift packages. These can be personalised on the spot. The shop offers workshops on how to organise the perfect apertivo. Various chefs will give visitors demonstrations and tastings will take place in the kitchen. It will also offer the visitor access to the world of Martini and the aperitivo moment. It is open every day from 10am to 6pm.

The aperitivo is central to the Italian way of life and culture. It is a way of spending time with friends and family and enjoy a snack and drink. While last year many celebrated the holidays alone or in very small groups, this year one hopes to be able to share special moments with family and friends.

In The World of Aperitivo shop, Martini will guide you to make the right choices for drinks and pairing food. In every corner, especially dedicated to one or more MARTINI drinks, you will find a selection of suitable items to complete your aperitivo. From a wooden aperitivo serving board, to Serax glassware and accessories. Francesco & Julia offer a range of quality Italian pre-packaged snacks such as olives, grissini, tapenades and various cheeses, Italian ham and other small pre-packaged snacks in a fresh display case.

In The World of Aperitivo shop you can also buy Limited Edition gifts from MARTINI as the perfect holiday gift. The World of Aperitivo is a unique gifting hotspot with all the ingredients to organize a fantastic aperitivo and purchase the right Christmas gifts. Hello!

Want to impress? Win a fully catered New Year’s Eve in The World of Martini shop for you and your family and friends

From November 26 to December 26, MARTINI is challenging everyone on Instagram to share the perfect aperitivo moment with the hashtag #WorldofAperitivo #MartiniTime. The best photo, chosen by Team MARTINI, will receive the key to the store on December 31, 2021 and can celebrate a special end of year aperitivo moment with a group of friends. Of course it is important to clearly show in the photo what MARTINI stands for; friendship, quality and aperitivo. More information about the giveaway can be found on the Instagram channel @MartiniBenelux.

Martini was founded in 1863 in Turin Italy and the Martini Brand is today part of the Bacardi Limited portfolio headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Apart from Serax products, the shop also has APS glass, a Racing Ciclismo corner as well as winter jackets, sweaters as part of a collaboration between Porsche and Martini.
